Penn State running back Noah Cain will miss the rest of the season with a lower-body injury, Nittany Lions coach James Franklin announced Tuesday.Cain exited after carrying three times in the first quarter of Saturday’s 36-35 overtime loss at Indiana. He went to the locker room for treatment and returned to the sideline with crutches and a boot on his left foot.The 5-foot-10, 226-pound sophomore rushed for 13 yards and did not catch a pass in the season-opening setback, which dropped Penn State from No. 8 to No. 18 in the poll.”Love Noah, so much respect for Noah,” Franklin said. “He really had an unbelievable offseason and worked really hard for this opportunity.”As a true freshman in 2019, Cain played in 10 games (one start) and rushed for 443 yards and eight touchdowns. He caught seven passes for 52 yards.
