Marquette big man Theo John transfers to Duke

Marquette senior Theo John will transfer to Duke, he announced Friday.The 6-foot-9, 245-pound center averaged 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds for the Golden Eagles this past season. In four years, he started 86 games and is taking advantage of an extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to the coronavirus pandemic.”After conversations with my family, I have decided that next year I will be attending Duke University for my final year of eligibility,” he tweeted. “I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of my basketball journey.”On Thursday, Duke added graduate transfer Bates Jones, a 6-foot-8 forward who previously played at Davidson.
